Food photography isn’t the same thing as instagramming a pie from your local pizza place before you chow down - it’s about using colors, lighting & composition to artfully combine the beauty of food with it’s surroundings. In this regard, it’s similar portrait photography - just a lot more colorful (and hunger-inducing).
